People just want to be listened to. That is the only way to fully understand what is going on with someone. Your body wants you to listen to it as well. Many people do not want to share their health issues with just anyone. It is a private and very personal subject. They need someone who they can trust and feel comfortable with. Someone they can feel safe opening up to and sharing what they are dealing with in their life. Although sometimes a good option, family and friends can tend to have a certain way of “knowing’ you and “listening” to you, which may add too many elements of history in the conversation.
